November 13 — Stock market up, the talking tongues of Tyrol, recent podcasts, and the GPT token limit

Podcasts I listened to recently

Here are some podcasts I’ve listened to lately, with very brief synopses:

  • Dave Smith on Rogan – hilarious, political, profanity, mid-episode Rogan picks up his phone and calls Tony Hinchcliffe, the comedian who famously called Puerto Rico a floating trash island at a Trump Rally
  • Rick Spence on Lex Fridman – a bit dry but super informative, with explanation in great depth of the history of Russia’s and America’s secret agencies, covert ops, government conspiracy and cults, fascinating content
  • Elon Musk on Rogan – recorded and released the night before the elections, this episode will forever be remembered as a time capsule; they talked in depth about plans, problems with the current state of affairs, and change, all with an eerie air of uncertainty
  • Theo Von on Rogan – vulgar, funny, some parts had me cracking up, they discussed a number of topics including mental health, comedy, and politics. Theo Von’s humor is pretty dark and extremely sexual. You’ve been warned.

How about that market?

I love watching those numbers go up in our stocks and crypto. I’m curious though if this will be a short-lived bump followed by a return to where we’re at, or if this incline is here to stay.

What do you invest in?

Finally hit a token limit with GPT4o

I’ve been messing around with many of the GPT models and while I’ve always been aware of the token limits, I’ve never been anywhere near the limits. Well, just today I managed to give my research AI agent a task that overloaded the OpenAI API.

Fortunately, nothing was broken and now I know the limit of what ChatGPT can handle.

Bonus: The Austrian Tongue Choir (Tiroler Zungenpritschler)

My words here will do no justice to describe what you’re about to see. Just watch these guys (0:31)
