December 11 — A taxi, a house, a dog and a huge Ai event

I attended Ai Summit NY

I went to the Ai Summit in New York this week and met a lot of people who work in cutting edge fields. History is truly in the making right now. There is a processing powerhouse that sells metered access to their servers starting at a petabyte (that’s 1,000 terabytes FYI). Another company formed by buying several unrelated smaller companies across a variety of verticals to become a giant in agentic buildout.

I was surprised to see that a lot of what’s available for enterprise is trailing somewhat behind what we’re working with right now. Gives me hope.

The Kiffness is back! And this time he turns a dog’s snore into the song Sail by Awolnation.

How one house changed town’s legislation

The quiet town of Orange made Connecticut news recently after a group of residents joined up to petition a change in the town’s legislation. One particular house was ultimately to blame for inspiring the uprising, with a series of complaints made about the property’s short term tenants (AirBnb guests), including “Men screaming sexually inappropriate things.” Read the petition here.
