Prayer and perspective
Praying to God when you’re angry might seem inappropriate if you think about praying in another state of mind. But if you think about all the other choices you could make when you’re angry, suddenly prayer doesn’t seem like such a poor choice.
Holding hands while driving
Sometimes while driving, I reach back behind me to hold one of my boys’ hands. And when they reciprocate, it warms my heart. Any discomfort from my arm behind me pales in comparison to the sadness I feel when I have to take my hand back to drive.
This love is inexplicable.
Any I can’t tell you how proud I am of my older son who’s now skiing on his own, swimming both underwater and freestyle, and understanding and speaking German. He’s a good listener and he steps outside of his comfort zone to try new things. I’m a proud dad.
