July 10 — I need your opinion, a parade, losing weight, and nostalgic TV

We were in a parade

Every 4th of July we get together with friends and family in a town where I grew up and parade around town. Led by a fire engine from the local fire department, legions of kids follow on bikes and scooters, all decorated red white and blue, and even some moms and dads with strollers – that was us this year. It’s always a blast and this year did not let down.

What’s a tradition you love and look forward to?

The secret to weight loss

Sweat. Sweat often.

Make exercise and sweating as routine as taking a shower and you’ve got my personal guarantee you’ll start peeling off unwanted pounds.

This doesn’t apply to you once-a-month shower people. You know who you are.

I need your opinion

Our new bathroom

That is our new downstairs bathroom. I need to buy a set of towels that fit with it. Who’s got a recommendation? Color? Style? Hand towels to match?

Bonus: Family Feud special

My wife and I just watched season 10, episode 1 of Family Feud: Decades of Laughs, and it’s hilarious. Steve Harvey recaps all through the reruns and highlights the funniest, the stupidest, most absurd and off-topic, and the raunchiest answers people have given through the years. One clip that made it in, and personally the most memorable, is when my cousin Rocco was on the show and said something even Steve couldn’t repeat (watch at 34:08).
